The Tattybogler Pinot Noir Rose, Central Otago, Forrest

Forrest rose is so good that we came up with the idea of producing a Sancerre inspired rose with John Forrest over lunch in spring 2009. We thought it would be an exciting opportunity to create a small parcel of Pinot Noir rose and heres the first vintage.

Product Description

Forrest rose is so good that we came up with the idea of producing a Sancerre inspired rose with John Forrest over lunch in spring 2009. We thought it would be an exciting opportunity to create a small parcel of Pinot Noir rose & heres the first vintage. John chose his Tattybogler vineyards for this premium rose as he believes its producing the best fruit for this style of wine. The Tattybogler rose is a blend of Pinot from Waitaki Valley & Central Otago. All fruit is cropped low for optimum flavour & hand harvested. After picking, the skins are left in contact for just a couple of hours to extract a little colour prior to pressing & fermentation. Surprisingly for rose, we had winter in mind for this wine! Bottled late June, its drinking perfectly. The rich succulent Otago Pinot Noir delivers silky cherry & strawberry fruit, that enables it to compliment a variety of dishes. Rose is now enjoyed all year round & the Tattybogler will lighten even the darkest winte
