Having spent the first couple of years converting his vineyards to organic production, re-invigorating the soils & reducing the cropping levels to a more modest level, he has also filled his winery to the brim, with a vast array of barrels &8211; new & old, barrique & demi-muids. Happily for us, he has expanded his holdings, adding a further 6 hectares in Uchizy, as well as taking on the vineyards of Chteau de Vire, so despite reducing his yields to further enhance the complexity, texture & he is able to offer us a bit more wine than he was able to back in 2002 when we made our first offering of these serious but delightful wines.
