Save time in the kitchen & learn to handle a knife like a professional chef so you can perfect your julienne, batons & chiffonade. Well-honed knife skills reduce valuable time spent preparing food in the kitchen, & allow you to create attractive dishes which will wow your family & friends at your next dinner party. Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of the chefs at the Smart School of Cookery. Then, after a brief overview of what to expect from the class, you will get changed into your chef’s apron ready for action. You’ll learn how to chop, cut, slice & dice vegetables like a pro. You’ll learn ways of keeping your knife sharp. & you’ll learn the skill of filleting a fish & de-boning a chicken. This experience is 100% hands on. The chef will demonstrate each task, then you will practice your hopping, filleting & boning skills with guidance from the chef. Once the class is completed, you will receive an email within 24 hours with a knife chart with useful information relating to the knives for you to refer back to when cooking at home.
