- or for the less brave it’s just as happy being driven in full automatic mode. Your day will start with a welcome introduction & registration, once this is complete you will be given a demonstration lap by one of the driving instructors. You will then have the chance to get behind the wheel of the Jaguar F-Type R for 6 miles & when you thought it couldn’t get any better you will then have the chance to drive the Aston Martin DBS for a further 6 miles. Just as you are about to take a breath, you will then have a high speed passenger lap in a performance saloon, driven by one of the driving instructors. - almost any bike can take part. It's not just about riding as fast as you can, from this trackday you will go home having learned something. For some, it's discovering the true performance of their bike for the first time, for most, it's about taking away new skills that will hopefully make you a better road rider! So if you find yourself watching motorsport on TV or know someone that wishes they were out there racing, this trackday taster voucher is the perfect gift. Leathers are required to be worn. The idea of being let loose on a circuit can sound intimidating, especially when its your own bike but to get you started you will receive a full safety briefing including track riding techniques. This is followed by three limited speed laps led by a safety car so that you can familiarise yourself with the circuit & learn the racing line. You'll then be free to complete the session at your own speed. Please note this taster session is for riders who have attended up to a maximum of three trackdays before. If you are an experienced trackday rider, please do not book into a taster session as you will not be permitted to take part & will not be offered a refund on your booking. For most people, the idea of driving a car blindfold is a terrifying one, but if you know someone who would love the opportunity to try something completely out of the ordinary then this is the perfect driving experience. This activity is one which will test both the nerves & the communication skills of the participants as they take on the challenge of navigating a 4x 4 around a track, with one behind the wheel & one giving instructions. This is an ideal day out for anyone who loves driving & enjoys having their abilities tested. Drivers will need to trust their partners & listen carefully to the instructions they are given & navigators will need to be clear & decisive in order for everyone to complete the course in one piece. This experience starts with a safety briefing that may sound like a contradiction in terms given the nature of the activity, but will nonetheless go some way towards preparing everyone for the task ahead of them. Then it’s time to learn about the controls of the 4 x 4 with an instructor who will prepare each participant to help them to understand the best way to tackle their part of the experience. Each pair will start with ten points & the challenge is to retain them all as they traverse the course. The driver will be completely blindfolded so they will be totally reliant on their navigator to direct them around the course. For their part, the navigator will need to give clear & concise directions & try to avoid hitting the markers which have been placed throughout the course to test the team’s skills. Points will be lost if the vehicle hits any of the markers or if any physical intervention is needed to avert disaster. Anyone who still thinks that this might not be sufficiently difficult will be pleased to learn that the words ‘left’ & ‘right’ will be replaced with alternatives, making the whole process even more tricky for everyone involved. ...
