Visually, the SE-218CN fits with the metal covers in black & silver to visually complement the current Samsung Ultrabooks. The DVD writer only needs a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port for power & data transfer. The burner writes DVDs with up to eight speed & CDs at up to 24x speed.
The DVD writer works with the Windows operating systems 7 & 8, & the latest Mac OS versions together. In addition, the burner's firmware is updated automatically when the linked PC is connected to the internet.
