It will charge any number of batteries (1, 2, 3 or 4).  Each battery slot is individually controlled & monitored independently. There's also an independent LCD display for each battery channel.

Charges both AA & AAA rechargeable batteries simultaneously.

Features include overheat & overcharge protection, minus delta voltage (-dv) detection for charge termination as well as damaged or bad batteries detection.
