The new UK BQ-CC55 charger from Panasonic is a Smart Quick 2 Hour Charger that comes with 4 x Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA 2500m Ah 1.2V rechargeable batteries. This new UK 3-Pin plug charger has coloured LED's one for each charging slot. When an LED is lit it means the battery is charging, however different colours show the state of your batteries.

Red LED means the batteries are 20% charged or less.
Yellow LED means the batteries are between 20% & 80% charged.
Green LED means the batteries are 80% or more.
When the LED goes out the battery is 100%
Yellow Blinking LED means the battery is worn out & needs replacing
Red Blinking LED means the battery is not suitable (ie non-rechargeable)

This charger comes with a UK plug. (The BQ-CC55E has a European 2-pin plug) You can charge a single battery or up to four at one time. When you first insert some rechargeable batteries the LED's light green from right to left for about 3 seconds before charging begins. The Panasonic batteries that come with this particular model are Eneloop Pro AA 2500m Ah Ni MH rechargeable batteries. They are the latest low self discharge rechargeable batteries & can retain up to 85% of their charge for up to 12 months.
