IMPORTANT WATERPROOF HOUSING PREPARATION: For Evo DX cameras & for all similar Sport & Action Cameras!

Before taking your Evo DX underwater, or using it around water-based activities such as Kayaking, Windsurfing, Swimming, Surfing etc, Please take the time to ensure that the rubber seal on the rear door of the casing is in good condition (it must not have been pinched, nicked or frayed). Make sure that it is free from any hairs, dirt, sand or any other foreign matter that can cause the seal to fail. Depending on the immersion time & depth that the camera is used a leak or water ingress can occur if the seal has not been properly checked & prepared and subsequent damage to the camera will not be covered under warranty!. Please also ensure that the housing grooves in which the rubber seal sits, are equally free of any s&, dirt, hair or foreign matter & that no damage or scratching has occurred to those grooves. A very small amount of silicon grease applied sparingly to the rubber seal will also assist in providing a water-tight seal. If in any doubt we would recommend that you test the casing without the camera installed. Put some dry tissue inside the housing & test as required. If after opening the housing the tissue is wet or soaked then you will be pleased that the camera was not inside!! Repeat the test until you can be 100% certain that the seal has not been damaged or compromised in any way. Again we would stress that just like all other action camera systems (including Go Pro) that these basic checks are adhered too before you put the camera into any wet situation as we cannot accept any returns or complaints based on a water ingress.
