The super-tough ABS handle offers a comfortable grip & features a useful extension for downhill walking..

As well as a tough metal ground spike, a regular rubber foot is already fitted & safely covers the ground spike. There's also a 3.8cm diameter circular mud foot for soft or wet soil, a 8.4cm diameter snow disc & a curved rubber paw-foot for enhanced motion when walking.

Using as a monopod, you can better hold steady your camera or video camera – useful for telephoto or longer exposure work.

The camera head can be unlocked, pivoted over & relocked with the collar. Unlike other monopods, you can use your camera in the vertical/portrait position & the horizontal/landscape position.

To use as a monopod unscrew the compass unit & expose the standard fit 1/4 inch tripod screw.

Extend the leg by turning the leg anti-clockwise. Pull the leg to extend but try not to pull too far. On each leg there is a clearly marked "stop" to advise of its maximum recommended extension length.

To then lock the leg, turn clockwise but please do not over-tighten. Once fully extended the largest diameter leg features a height guide for reference.

If you do pull the leg out of the unit it can be reinserted, but try to avoid doing it.

This clever locking & unlocking mechanism works like most others on the market so its not a design fault. Just be careful when extending the legs & you'll be fine we promise.

We are aware that the compass is not particularly accurate & we would suggest that you do not depend on its accuracy, but it looks nice & does act as a protective cover for the tripod screw.
