Preparation

Before taking your EvoDX
underwater, or using it
around water-based
activities such as
Kayaking, Windsurfing,
Swimming, Surfing etc,
Take the time to ensure
that the rubber seal on
the rear door is in good
condition (not pinched,
nicked or frayed) and is
free from any hairs,
dirt or other foreign
matter that can cause the
seal to fail and water
ingress to occur. Also
ensure that the housing
grooves in which the
rubber seal sits, are
equally free of any dirt,
hair or foreign matter
and that no damage or
scratching has occurred
to those grooves. A very
small amount of silicon
grease applied sparingly
to the rubber seal will
assist in providing a
water-tight seal.

This level of
preparation applies to
all waterproof cases and
equipment, not just the
EvoDX housings - so if
you have other waterproof
kit - take the time to
check it thoroughly
before you use it in very
wet environments, so you
do not allow water
ingress to potentially
damage your equipment.
