before the ‘register by’ date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible. How long does my adoption last? Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration. How long does it take for me to receive my certificate, photograph and free ticket? These will be dispatched within 28 days receipt of your registration details. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift Republic’s control may affect delivery times. Can I visit the giraffes? This gift enables you to adopt a wild giraffe at the UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve in South Africa. The reserve is not currently open to the public so visiting the giraffes is not possible. However, the reserve is run by Action for the Wild, a registered charity founded by Colchester Zoo. As
such, the animals at Colchester Zoo are treated as ambassadors – to inform visitors about the charity and to help their wild African counterparts. So register your gift now, receive your free ticket for Colchester Zoo and then visit the giraffes there. Does my gift entitle me to anything else? Yes – once you have registered your gift, you will also receive a voucher entitling you to 5% discount on the cost of a Behind the Scenes Giraffe Experience at Colchester Zoo. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of registration. Refer to the enclosed Colchester Zoo leaflet for further details. on one particular species. If for any reason a project is unavailable, the charity reserves the right to allocate the donation wherever they feel the need is greatest. The charity supports projects all over the world including its own project, the UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. The adoption is valid for 12 months from the date of registration. The free ticket to Colchester Zoo is valid once only, for one person, for 12 months from the date of registration.
