Pixars latest CG-animated masterpiece Up finally takes flight on home video! The first Pixar production to be presented in 3D, Up was the opening film to the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, the first ever animated film to have such prestige. Despite Pixars near perfect track record, the pairing of a grumpy old man & an Asian kid as the protagonists has raised certain concerns over the films commercial prospect. But the film ended up winning unanimous critical acclaim & the second-highest box-office gross for the animation studio (behind only Finding Nemo), proving once again that storytelling is paramount, & that Pixar can seemingly do no wrong.
