Kim Soo Hyun, who last appeared on the silver screen in the 2013 blockbuster Secretly, Greatly, challenges the noir-action genre in his long-anticipated comeback movie Real. The actor takes the lead role of an ambitious & ruthless fixer with dissociative identity disorder in the action crime thriller, which is directed by first-time helmer Love Lee & written by Lee Jung Sub, the screenwriter of Romantic Island & The Perfect Couple. Suffering from dissociative identity disorder, nefarious fixer Jang Tae Young (Kim Soo Hyun) seeks help from psychiatrist Dr. Choi Jin Ki (Lee Sung Min). After recovering from his mental illness, he starts building his casino empire. However, notorious drug lord Jo Won Geun (Sung Dong Il) seizes the shares of his gambling business. Meanwhile, a masked reporter offers to invest in the casino & proposes a plan to eliminate Jo Won Geuns crime ring. However, Tae Young starts to get suspicious of his mysterious investor, who looks uncannily similar to him & seems to know everything about him.
