Renovation contractor Kwan Ka On (Michael Miu) & his homemaker wife Sze Long Kiu (Sonija Kwok) work hard for their dream of buying a new house for the family. Unfortunately, On has to shelve their plan in order to help his younger brother Kwan Ka Hong (Oscar Leung) with his financial difficulties as a result of some bad investments, & that puts a strain on the marriage between On & Kiu. Hoping to share the heavy burden on Ons shoulders, younger sister Kwan Ka Lok (Linda Chung) seeks help from successful property developer Jim Ko (Michael Tse), who takes the opportunity to develop an illicit affair with her, thus wrecking her relationship with boyfriend Ting Koon Fung (Ron Ng).
