Taiwan comedy legend Zhu Ge Liang passed away in May 2017 at the age of seventy. His final film, Hanky Panky, was released earlier in the year during Lunar New Year. The late funnyman reteamed with The Wonderful Wedding director Huang Chao Liang for a signature-style raucous comedy blockbuster co-starring Blue Lan ( Night Market Hero), singer-actor Kenji Wu ( Love Recipe), TV actress Aggie Hsieh ( To the Dearest Intruder) & veteran actress Yang Kuei Mei.
Martial arts master Brother Diao (Zhu Ge Liang) has no chiropractic skills but he has developed a reputation for treating many ailments thanks to a cure-all cream recipe passed down from generation to generation. His son Xiao Long (Blue Lan) has trained in kung fu since a young age & he specializes in "e;intercepting hands, "e; as in he intercepts pickpockets & uses the stolen goods to help the poor. To raise money for his girlfriends (Aggie Hsieh) overseas studies, Xiao Long borrows money from his mortal enemy, mob boss Black Bear (Wu Pong Fong), & ends up becoming the scapegoat for a murder charge. To clear his sons name, Brother Diao enlists the help of an old acquaintance (Yang Kuei Mei) whose son (Kenji Wu) is a prosecutor. Unexpectedly, his efforts uncover another case that turns everything upside down.
