The highest-grossing Thai film of 2003, pint-sized romance My Girl (a.k.a Fan Chan) takes a nostalgic feel-good journey back to 1980s Thail&. Backdropped by the sound of 80s Thai pop, My Girl is a joint effort by six up-&-coming filmmakers
- Vitcha Gojiew, Nithiwat Tharathorn, Witthaya Thongyooyong, Adisorn Trisirikasem, Komgrit Triwimol, & Songyos Sugmakanan, who would go on to direct Dorm. The films lead Charlie Trairat, who also later starred in Sugmakanans Dorm & Hormones, is now one of Thailands most popular young actors.
Jeab (Charwin Jitsomboon) heads from his hometown from Bangkok to attend the wedding of his childhood friend Noi-Naa (Focus Jirakul). On the road back, he flashes back to memories of his small-town childhood, his close friendship with Noi-Naa, & their fallout. Young Jeab (Charlie Trairat) never got a chance to say sorry or goodbye to Noi-Naa before she moved away. Her wedding will be the first time they see each other in many years.
