Product Description

For his second directorial feature, award-winning actor Ha Jung Woo adapts Chinese author Yu Huas acclaimed novel Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, transplanting the famous story to postwar Korea in this period dramedy. The popular actor himself stars as the hero Heo Sam Gwan, a simple-minded & simple-hearted worker just getting by on his wages. To court the most beautiful girl in town, he sells his blood to earn money & gains her hand in marriage. Years later, the two have three children together & all seems well, but then rumors begin to spread that Heo is not the real father of his first son.

Besides top actress Ha Ji Won as Heos wife, Chronicle of a Blood Merchant brings in a star-studded supporting cast including Sung Dong Il, Kim Sung Kyun, Jo Jin Woong, Lee Kyoung Young, Kim Young Ae & Yoon Eun Hye
