Top Korean actress Son Ye Jin ( Pirates) makes her Chinese film debut in the crime action thriller Bad Guys Always Die co-starring Taiwan heartthrob Wilson Chen Bo Lin ( Continent). A dangerous & bumbling adventure filled with unpredictable twists, fish-out-of-water laughs & a bit of romance awaits when a group of vacationing Chinese men encounters a mysterious armed woman on Jeju Island in Korea. Two of Asias biggest hitmakers, Feng Xiaogang & Kang Je Gyu serve as producers for the Huayi Brothers-backed Chinese-Korean co-production directed by Sun Hao, who has worked on many of Feng Xiaogangs films including Aftershock & If You Are the One.
Qiangzi (Wilson Chen), who teaches Chinese at a Busan elementary school, happily heads to Jeju with his brother & two buddies who especially came over from China for the trip. As soon as they arrive in Jeju, they come across a car accident & pick up the injured driver, Ji Yeon (Son Ye Jin). The guys are initially relieved to see a police officer on the way to the hospital, but Ji Yeon suddenly pulls out a gun, shoots the officer & takes them hostage! It turns out Ji Yeon is embroiled in some dangerous crime mystery, & the cop she tried to take out is an enemy in disguise (Shin Hyun Jun, Kiss Me, Kill Me). Dragged along for the ride, Qiangzi is forced to assist Ji Yeon while being pursued by incompetent police & a very persistent killer.
