Jackie Chan leaves Hollywood behind & once again returns as Hong Kongs action hero in this 21st century update to his classic Police Story action series. Though New Police Story does not feature the usual Jackie character of Kevin Chan Ka Kui, any viewer will know this can only be a Jackie Chan Police Story film! The film employs the techniques director Benny Chan is famed for: chaotic situations, large explosions, & detailed characters. The plot is tense & rapid, with one explosive scene following another, yet never loses the human touch. We get to see a rare side of Jackie, as a man wrecked with guilt, as well as a loving husband to the character played by Charlie Young, finally returning to the big screen after a long hiatus.

Besides starring, Jackie himself takes on the task of action choreographer with Lee Chi Chung to create the stunning fight scenes that make a Police Story film so memorable. Onscreen, he teams up with a new generation of young stars, including Daniel Wu as the leader of a gang of wealthy young criminals who kill cops for fun & Nicholas Tse as the protege, a young cop who helps Jackie Chans character get back on his feet.
