1930s Hong Kong is a prosperous, bustling city, but its also home to a sizeable underbelly that is rife with corruption & danger. However, even in the Tong Sai area, seemingly a den of lawlessness, there live righteous, good-natured people. One of them is Leung Sam (Tavia Yeung), a self-combed woman who has made a vow never to marry. When she witnesses a kidnapping, she immediately calls the police for help. Unfortunately, corrupt policeman Gum Wa (Louis Cheung) heads the investigation, & predictably, he does nothing. After witnessing a second kidnapping, Leung Sam meets Sam Yat Yin (Matt Yeung), an upstanding policeman. Together, they solve the case, only to be robbed of their credit by the scheming Gum Wa. With her connection to both Gum Wa & Yat Yin now firmly established, Leung Sam finds herself increasingly entangled in Hong Kongs criminal world. Its a place where love, lives & morality are constantly tested.
