King Boxer (1972) turned Shaw Brothers kung fu actor Lo Lieh into an international action star. He then branched into directing on top of his prolific acting career. Modern Detective (1985), an action comedy produced by famed filmmaker Lo Wei, was the only film for which Lo Lieh took on writing, directing, & starring roles all at the same time.
