With its film script & direction provided by noted filmmaker Pan Lei, who just so happens to be a three time winner of the China Literary Award, Lovers Rock is one 60s era film with quite the "e;behind the scenes"e; pedigree. Actress Cheng Pei Pei, who has appeared in everything from the martial arts classic Come Drink With Me to the Oscar-winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon stars in this 1963 Shaw Brothers production opposite actor Qiao Zhuang, who himself has been featured in such Shaw films as Mist Over Dream Lake, Torrent of Desire, & Knight of Knights.
