Adapted from a short story by acclaimed writer Pai Hsien Yung (who was a professor of Chinese at the University of Southern California-Santa Barbara for almost three decades), Loves Lone Flower tells a story of oppressed love & distorted human nature like many other literary works by Pai. The TV drama stars top actresses Anita Yuen ( Hes A Woman Shes A Man), Angelica Lee ( Three), & Suzanne Hsiao ( Yi Yi), who team up with veteran actor Tou Chung Hua for this intriguing drama series. Director Cao Ruiyuan previously also created the TV series Crystal Boys, based on Pai Hsien Yungs work on the lives of gay youth in 1970s Taiwan. With a strong cast & delicate direction, Loves Lone Flower carries a tenderness that is seldom found in Taiwanese dramas.
