Terence Yin ( The Heavenly Kings) has the breakthrough role of his career in independent filmmaker Kit Huis feature directorial debut Fog. The two previously teamed up for the short film Missing, which was an official selection in the shorts competition of the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. Their latest collaboration has similarly been well received internationally, winning the Special Jury Award at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival & opening the 2010 Hong Kong Independent Film Festival.
Influenced by renowned Taiwan auteur Hou Hsiao Hsien, Hui makes a deliberately paced & visually engaging mood piece set against the backdrop of Hong Kong in 2007, the 10th anniversary of its reunification with China. The film follows a man (Terence Yin) suffering from a rare case of amnesia as he attempts to make sense of his present by piecing together his past out of the often conflicting accounts from his family & friends. A stylized tale of self-discovery & redemption, Fog co-stars Eugenia Yuan ( The Eye 2), 24 Herbs Phat Chan ( Dream Home), TVB actress Camy Ting, & indie darling Joman Chiang ( Butterfly).
