Overheard (2009)
Cops Johnny (Lau Ching Wan), Gene (Louis Koo), & Max (Daniel Wu) are part of a special task force investigating a business firm that engages in financial crimes. Overheard 3 (2014)
In the 1970s, the Hong Kong government enacted a policy that granted each male heir of New Territories villagers the privilege to build a house without paying any dues to the government. Since then, those grants have become a commodity that village leaders can profit from. Luk (Kenneth Tsang) is one of those leaders. However, the Luk familys NT Land Group shocks the village when it decides to go public thanks to an ambitious residential high-rise project made possible with the grants it bought up & the help of a businessman from Mainland China (Huang Lei).
