Product Description

Beloved anime/manga character Chibi Maruko-chan arrives in cinemas with her first movie in 23 years! First published in 1986, Sakura Momokos iconic slice-of-life manga about the everyday gaffes & adventures of a nine-year-old schoolgirl has sold over 30 million copies, & its long-running anime series has accumulated over a thousand episodes. Directed by Takagi Jun, the 2015 Chibi Maruko-chan movie welcomes six foreign exchange students to Maruko-chans town. One of them, Andrea from Italy, is staying with Marukos family. At first, Maruko is constantly bewildered by Andrea, but over time they develop a close friendship as they learn about each others cultures.
