If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basic skills required to drive a steam train then this is the experience for you. Accompanied at all times by your instructor, you will get the chance to take the controls yourself & learn how to move off & stop smoothly. There will be plenty of opportunity to hone your skills during the day before the grand climax as you gently ‘buffer up’ the engine to a 25 ton brake van. Also

Includes:: a visit to the signal box & a tour of the locomotive yard.
