Lithium-ion LXT cordless hammer drill/driver has a 2 speed gearbox 13mm keyless chuck & 42nm torque the 2 speed settings on the BHP453RFE provide maximum versatility for use into a variety of material. The Makita BHP453 RFE uses lithium-ion battery technology which has a number of advantages the batteries have no memory effect which allows them to be recharged before they are completely discharged they are up to 40% lighter than a Ni-Cad or Ni-MH battery & they also maintain their charge noticeably longer which provides increased productivity.
