The coffee beans are grown on small plots on the shores of Lake Aceh on the northern point of the isl&, just as they were when the coffee plant was first introduced there in the 17th century. When picked, they are semi-dried in the sun, allowing them to absorb the fragrant & earthy tastes of the l&. They are then dark roasted to capture the essence of their taste. The result is a beautifully rounded coffee, filled with the flavours of the rainforest a medley of figs & apricots & exotic sweet flowers.
