Product Description

Origin: Central Province, Kenya Body: Full-bodied Roast: Mild Roast (1) Taste: Outstandingly bright with grapefruit flavours Whittard recommends: Using a filter machine & enjoying black or with milk according to taste When to drink: In the morning Outstandingly bright & with unrivalled citrus acidity, Kenya Karatu Microlot Coffee is a beautifully refreshing way to start off the day. It is produced by a cooperative of around 800 members on smallholdings in the Thika district of Central Province near Gatundu town. The bushes grow in the shade of macadamia & eucalyptus trees in fertile volcanic loam soil in the foothills of Mount Kenya & the Aberdare Mountains in perfect conditions. Once ripe, the beans are picked by hand & dried on tables in the Kenyan sun to bring out their exceptionally complex taste. With new flavours exploding on the tongue at every sip, Kenya Karatu Microlot shows why Kenyan coffees are amongst the world (TM)s greatest today. It is an exciting coffee, enticing you to get out of bed & start the day ahead.
