Rich, complex & incredibly moreish, it is perfect for savouring after an evening meal. It is an exceptional coffee grown by 25 individual members of the Jagong Village Cooperative in the Central Aceh District of Sumatra. Nearby the beautiful Lake Tawar, the soil is rich & fertile, producing a coffee with an intense, full-bodied flavour. The bushes sit amongst cabbages, chillis & red beans on small plots of land around 1, 600 metres, 5, 250 feet, above sea level. Once harvested the beans are semi-washed & wet-hulled then dried on patios in the sun to give them their unique deep green colour. The result is a beautifully complex coffee that lingers enticingly on the palate. Sumatra Jagong Village Coffee is an outstanding coffee from Indonesia. Oozing tangy dark chocolate sweetness, it is a drink to sit back & enjoy for its satisfying rich intensity.
