Product Description

The Fantasticks Returns to London

The long-running American Musical ‘ The Fantasticks’ returns to London for a revival at the Duchess Theatre. The show features classic songs including ‘ Try to Remember’ & ‘ Soon It’s Gonna Rain’.

The show, with music by Harvey Schmidt & lyrics by Tom Jones, tells the story of two neighbours who build a wall between their houses. Believing that children always want what their parents forbid, the neighbours hope that the separation will make their offspring fall in love. It is based loosely on the play ‘ The Romancers’ by French playwright Edmond Rost&.

The London revival is directed by Amon Miyamoto who renews his collaboration with designer Rumi Matsui. Lighting designer Rick Fisher, who won the 2009 Tony Award for his lighting on the musical ‘ Billy Elliot’, is also involved in the production.
