The job of creating the most popular single malt of all is allotted to the Sixteen Men of Tain, who today turn pure water from the distillery's own Tarlogie Springs into the delicate & complex Glenmorangie. At a height of 17 feet, Glenmorangie's unique stills are the tallest in Scotl&. Their height means that only the lightest & purest vapours ascend to the top, thereby banishing any harsh flavours prior to maturation. Finest oak Bourbon casks are laid in dark, earth-floored warehouses, which are permeated by the gentle fresh sea air of the Dornoch Firth. The 10 year old featured here has a subtle taste of candied fruit & orange peel married with the honey wood sweetness from the casks.
