It can be powered by either of the following methods:

b) 4 x AAA batteries (not provided)

The unique fold-up design protects the speakers & makes it easy to carry around. The Vibe-Dock uses a standard 3.5 mm cable, meaning it can be used with all MP3 players & any other device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone or speaker socket. It can also power most MP3 players via the charge port.
