The new Blank Canvas collection sees Fred Perry collaborate with legendary English pop artist Peter Blake. Blake is best known for designing the sleeve of the Beatles` album " Sgt. Pepper`s Lonely Hearts Club Band" but also famously designed album sleeve work for Paul Weller (Stanley Road), The Who (Face Dances) & perhaps the biggest of them all, the single cover artwork for Band Aid`s " Do they know its Christmas time?". A lesser know fact is that Blake also designed the artwork for the Ian Drury tribute album " Brand new boots & Panties", a work close to Blake`s heart as he was Drury`s tutor at the Royal College of Art in the mid-60`s. Â Using a colour palette taken from the 1960s, Blake has taken the classic M12 shirt & added his personal touch to the traditional Perry styling details to create this unique Blank Canvas design. Made in England in soft combed cotton pique, this kingfisher blue shirt features sewn-on badges & hand screen printed icons that form two squares on either side of the chest. The iconic Laurel Wreath embroidery has been sewn into the centre of a screen printed square on the chest, whilst Peter Blake`s sign-off has been printed on the hem. Custom buttons complete this limited edition shirt, a must for collectors & fans of one of Britain`s most memorable artists. To specify just how limited production has been on these, each shirt also comes with an individually numbered collar tag, with a presentation box topping things off nicely. Polo Neck Short Sleeved
