Pooh hovers over the gang as they desperately cling to him to stop him from floating away with his big balloon. The composition tells of friends sticking together and helping each other out in times of trouble. While this scene is not strictly taken from any of A.A.Milne's original works, balloons nevertheless are a favourite feature in his stories as they possess a light, playful quality that speaks of gaiety and fun. The clock mechanism is slotted into the middle of the balloon and can be removed from the back by pushing a wire or paperclip through the pinhole. It is mounted a wooden base. Comes in a beautiful Winnie the Pooh box.
This highly sculpted pair of bookends captures the familiar scene of Pooh wedged in Rabbits doorway. On one of the bookends, Rabbit is depicted hanging his washing on Pooh's dangling legs while on the other piece, Christopher Robin is reading to Pooh as everybody waits for Pooh to be thin enough to slip out again. This is sheer quality & will be loved and cherished for ever. Comes beautifully boxed.
