This is the new Psycho 3 from O' Neill. Ok so I could harp on about all the technical detail you get with the brochure (that said I probably will as well) but I'd rather give you my first-hand experience with this wetsuit. I own a 4/3mm Psycho 3 since the beginning of this year. What struck me first with this wetsuit is the lightness & the easy way in which the material could be shaped, so light & so flexible. Once in the suit the fit was so good, no way did this feel like a 4/3mm in terms of flexibility, more like a 3/2mm. The technology in the latest suits is just unbelievable. After my first successful surf in the suit once off the inside of the neoprene actually had large patches where the ' Techno Butter' surface was completely dry. Never have I experienced partial dryness in a wetsuit before. Basically the new material called ' Techno Butter', which I'm sure O' Neill will use in all their top end suits, is comprised of very small channels overlapping in a grid shaped formation. These channels guide & move the water effortlessly away from the neoprene. This causes the material to soak up less water & as a result keep you warmer & more flexible. The weight of the neoprene is 20% lighter & absorbs 30% less water than O' Neill's other neoprene materials. More of the tech stuff. Fluid super seam weld on both the inside & outside seams. A new grade of weld that is thinner & more durable containing 60% less material than the standard fluid weld system. XDS Air Insulated neoprene on the chest & kidney panels to keep you warm & flexible. The closure system is the excellent Z.E.N. Zip collar with drain hole, advantages of the back zip is you can adjust the collar to better fit your neck area & reduce water entry points. Seriously if you have the money I wouldn't bother looking at any other wetsuits. Give us a call for expert advice & if you need help choosing the right size 01637 861616.
