Product Description

How Does Syndol Worksyndol contains Codeine Phosphate BP 10.0mg which belongs to a group of medicines called opioids. Opioids work by attached to certain receptors in the brain, helping to reduce the pain you feel. Codeine is also used to treat certain types of dry coughs & can help to control episodes of diarrhoea. As well as the active ingredient, Syndol also contains Paracetamol BP 450.0mg, Caffeine BP 30.0mg. How To Take Syndol Adults & Children over 12 years of age: One or two tablets to be taken every four to six hours as required. No more than 8 tablets should be taken in 24 hours.  If you feel you need to continue taking Syndol, speak to your doctor first. The elderly & very weak should use Syndol with caution & under strict medical supervision. Do not use Syndol with any other medications that contain Codeine or Paracetamol at the same time. Warnings Codeine is a highly addictive medication, your body quickly becomes tolerant to its effects which is why it is usually only prescribed for a short time, in this case; 3 days. Overuse of this medication is not only harmful it can sometimes cause headaches to become worse. Patients suffering from hypertension, gallstones, cardiac arrhythmia, obstructive bowel disorder., hypothyroidism or myasthenia gravis should seek medical advice before taking this product. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, do not use this product. Always read the leaflet before use.
