How Does Corsodyl Original Mouthwash Work? Corsodyl uses the active ingredient chlorhexidine digluconate which has powerful antibacterial properties that helps to prevent dental plaque from forming & helps to treat & heal infected and/or irritated gums. How To Use Corsodyl Mouthwash Original Corsodyl should ideally be used at a different time to your regular toothpaste, as they can sometimes stop Corsodyl from working. After brushing your teeth, rinse your mouth well & wait at least 5 minutes before using the mouthwash. Adults & children over 12 years; Use the mouthwash twice a day. Fill the cap provided to 10ml. Rinse & gargle with Corsodyl for one minute & spit out. Do not swallow. For gum disease, it recommended to use the mouthwash for one month. Oral thrush & mouth ulcers; Continue to use for 2 days even after it has cleared. Denture sore mouth: Soak the dentures in Corsodyl for 15 minutes, twice daily. When using after dental surgery: Use the mouthwash as directed by your dentist. Temporary staining of the teeth & tongue can occur but these are temporary & usually disappears after you stop using the mouthwash. If peeling of the skin inside the mouth occurs, dilute Corsodyl with an equal amount of water before use.
