How To Use Corsodyl Mouthwash The active ingredient Chlorhexidine gluconate has dual action antibacterial properties that helps to kill the plaque & bacteria that causes the gums irritation. It forms a protective layer over the teeth & gums for up to 12 hours to prevent any new plaque from forming. Adults & children should rinse thoroughly rinse the mouth for about 1 minute with 10ml twice a day. Toothpastes can stop Corsodyl from working properly if used straight afterwards. Either use Corsodyl at a different time of the day or rinse your mouth well after brushing & wait 5 minutes before using Corsodyl. If treating gingivitis, use daily for 4 weeks. For aphthous ulcers & oral thrush, use for 48 hours even if the infection has cleared. Following dental surgery; Rinse as directed by your dentist. Sore mouth caused by dentures; Dentures should be soaked in Corsodyl for 15 minutes twice a day. May cause temporary staining of tongue & teeth. Do not use if sensitive to Chlorhexidine.
