How Does Freederm Gel Work? Inflamed acne is characterised as spots or pimples that are 'angry', usually red in colour, tender to touch & may or may not have pus present. Freederm gel contains the active ingredient Nicotinamide. Nicotinamide, when applied to the affected area penetrates through the skin to the sebaceous glands (where the oil in your skin is produced) & helps to not only tackle existing spots but also prevent new ones from forming. Nicotinamide is not an antibiotic, it is related to an essential vitamin in our diet (Vitamin B3). Ingredients include: Aluminium Magnesium Sillicate, Hypromellose, Citric Acid, Polyoxethylene Laurel Ether, Ethanol & water. How To Use Freederm Apply the gel thinly to the affected areas, morning & evening on freshly cleansed skin, making sure the skin is dry before application. Hazards & Cautions This product is only for application to the skin. Do not use if you are sensitive to Nicotinamide or any similar ingredient. Keep Freederm away from mucous membranes (nose, mouth) & avoid direct contact with eyes. Not suitable for children. When using Freederm on the face, take care to keep it away from the eyes & mucous membranes, including those of the nose & mouth As is generally adviseable if you have unusually sensitive skin & are applying any new treatment for the first time, it is a good idea initially to test the gel on a small area, & wait for 24 hours before using it on larger areas.
