Product Description

What makes spots worsestress – Exams, family hassles, relationships – life is full of stresses which can make spots worse Greasy cosmetics – Some cosmetics contain oil, which makes spots worse. It’s best to use products labelled “water-based” or “non-comedogenic“ (which just means “it does not clog pores”) Pre-menstrual period – The hormonal changes before your period can make your spots worse Squeezing or picking – Just resist the temptation! Once you’ve applied an effective treatment, it’s best to leave them well alone Many people with acne might suffer from spots on the back & chest.   Treat the face with Acnecide Gel & the body with Acnecide Wash. The last thing you want to hear when you’re trying to treat your spots is ‘be patient’. But like all treatments that tackle the underlying causes of spots, Acnecide needs time to work. Remember, if you do not see any improvement in your acne within the the first month of using, contact your doctor or pharmacist who will be able to advise on other treatment options. Acnecide Gel & Acnecide Wash treatments contain two technologies to help you escape the cycle of spots: Benzoyl Peroxide Reduces the bacteria that cause spots (Propionibacterium acnes) by 95%A special microsphere technology To help absorb excess oil (a common factor in many Acne sufferers), while releasing glycerine to hydrate your skin. Treating your face with Acnecide Gel Apply a thin layer of Acnecide Gel to the entire area where spots appear, not just the visible spots. Start by using Acnecide gel once daily, then increase to twice-daily if needed. If dryness or peeling occurs, go back to using Acnecide once a day Avoid contact with eyes, lips & mouth Avoid contact with hair & dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by the gel Treating your body with Acnecide wash It’s best to apply the wash twice a day. Use on large, hard to reach areas such as chest, shoulders or back. Gently rub the Acnecide wash into the area to form a lather. Leave on skin for 1 – 2 minutes then rinse thoroughly & pat dry with a towel. Avoid contact with eyes, lips & mouth Avoid contact with hair & dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by the wash Cleanse, Treat & Moisturise Fighting bacteria is only half the battle; It's also important to keep your skin clean & well hydrated. Our pharmacist recommends the three step "CTM" program outline below... Step 1 Cleanse Gentle Skin Cleanser cleanses without drying the skin. Try Cetaphil Skin Cleanser Step 2 Treat Acnecide reduces the bacteria that causes spots by 95%. Step 3 Moisturise Moisturising Lotion helps maintain the skin’s natural protective barrier & provides immediate soothing & softening. Try Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion
