Orange galoshes from Swims: the renaissance of galoshes originated in Norway, where they were “reinvented” some years ago & perfected to include a textile lining, non-slip tread & a cushioned heel. Made from our own specially developed extra-elastic mix of rubbers. The name “galosh” refers to the Vienna term for rubber over-shoes. Today, however, although the word has become an umbrella term for all types of shoes or boots, real rubber over-shoes are difficult to pin down. Wonderfully practical, they can be taken with you everywhere you go: rolled up, they will even fit in a large coat pocket. Should the heavens open, or you come across a muddy patch, they can simply be slipped on over your shoes – & stripped off again afterwards just as easily. Perfect for architects on a construction site, or simply for a snowy commute into work.
