- Francois Merlin has vineyards on some of the best sites in Condrieu. He ages the wines in a mix of old & new barrels so as not to over power the wine with oak. On the nose this wine has a intensely inviting aroma of rose petal, soft spice, stem ginger & peach & cream. The palate is an explosion of flavour including jasmine tea, pear skin, ginger & toasted oak. This is a wine for savouring with buttered langoustine or lobster, or with a fresh Thai curry.
