Product Description

A very traditional chess set combination of our elegant Windsor series chessmen in solid Ebony & Boxwood our brand new Cocoa Burl extra thick Chess Board, finished in gloss lacquer. The Windsor pieces are superbly proportioned & nicely weighted for their size. Hand turned & naturally polished Ebony, these pieces display some of the classic characteristics of the original Staunton design, but have some more contemporary lines & curves that bring them to life. The Erable wood of this board is mesmerising to the eye, becoming almost three dimensional when tilted in the light. The rich glossy lacquer improves the richness of the burl patterning & also reflects the pieces well. In all, a classic chess set that oozes quality & value.
