This two hour pool based lesson under the watchful eye of trained PADI instructors is a great way to learn the basics of this popular sport
- & potentially save valuable time on holiday. Covering the basic safety & mobility techniques, the lesson will also teach breathing skills & familiarise you with the equipment. The lesson will serve as an ideal introduction for those wanting to take further PADI qualifications & additional lessons maybe booked directly with the dive centre. Locations: Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Norfolk, London, Ipswich (South East) West Midlands, Milton Keynes, Nottinghamshire (Midlands) Preston, County Durham, Tyne & Wear (North) Agenda: Your experience begins with a poolside briefing introducing the basic principles of scuba diving safety & what you can hope to achieve from the lesson. Then get kitted out & it’s into the water to get used to the unusual feeling of weightlessness & how to manage the equipment. Under careful guidance from your instructor you will gain in confidence as your lesson progresses. You must be able to swim to take part but no previous scuba experience is necessary. All you will need is a swimming costume & towel
- all the scuba gear is provided for you. Notes: Your voucher is valid for 10 months. The experience operates on selected weekdays & weekends, availability will vary between centres. At the Nottinghamshire dives are available every other Saturday. At the Ipswich location, times are: 10AM-12PM and 3PM-5PM (Mon, Thu & Fri) & 9AM-11AM (Sat). All participants will be required to sign a medical declaration prior to taking part, those aged 45 years & over or with a history of heart problems in the family may not be able to take part at some locations (please check prior to booking). The experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 12
- at the County Durham location, children from the age of 8 are welcome. Time in the pool is around 90 minutes with a 30 minute poolside briefing. At the Ipswich location, the briefing lasts 60 minutes & time in the water is 60 minutes.
