Try gliding & experience the extraordinary sensations of speed & silence that come from flying in one of these spectacular & graceful craft. Your trial lesson will last between 15 & 30 minutes depending on the weather conditions in which time you will learn how to turn & manoeuvre the glider & perhaps even have a go at taking the controls yourself. Locations: Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Essex (South East), Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire, Norfolk (Midlands) Brecon, Denbigh (Wales), Devon (South West) Agenda: The activity takes place in a dual controlled glider accompanied by a fully qualified instructor. On arrival at the venue you will be given a safety briefing then it’s up, up & away! The glider will be towed into the air by a powered aircraft or winch up to a height of around 2000ft & then released to soar over the beautiful countryside. Your instructor will demonstrate the controls of the glider & you may have a go at flying it yourself if you wish. Please note that gliding is extremely weather dependent; it is impossible to predict the length of your flight but it should last between 15 & 30 minutes. Every effort will be made to ensure that you get the best & safest flight for the conditions. Please note that at Denbigh you will be given 2 x winch launches with up to 30 minutes flying in total. Notes: Your voucher is valid for ten months. You are free to contact your preferred venue to arrange a date for your visit using the contact details provided. Please note that this experience is weather dependent; please contact your chosen location on the morning of your flight to check that it is still going ahead. Trial lessons are available to those over 14 years of age (although under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Minimum height restriction 4ft 6, maximum height 6ft 3 & maximum weight 15 stone (although the Warwickshire location may be able to accommodate you if you are slightly more than this).
