Originally released in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix, the Heuer Monaco really gained traction in its popularity after featuring with Steve Mc Queen in a 1971 film called ' Le Mans'. Since this time the watch has become synonymous of Mc Queen & although discontinued in the 70s, it was reissued with a new design in 1998. The Monaco typically features a pair of pushbuttons at the 2 & 4 o’clock position, hour & minute dials at 3 & 9 o'clock respectively as well as a leather strap.
