The highly anticipated Rolex Sky-dweller was unveiled at Baselworld 2012, becoming the first completely new watch collection from Rolex in almost two decades. Proving the wait was well worthwhile, Rolex have invented a compelling timepiece with innovative design features. The impressive Sky-Dweller has the ability to simultaneously display two-time zones. The centre 24-hour dial is designed to be set to your home time zone, meaning you don’t have to constantly change this function. This allows the outer, more prominent dial to display the time for the present location you are in. An impressive feature on the Sky-Dweller is the full calendar date display, the black apertures on the very outer of the dial turn red indicating the calendar month, coupled with the numeral date display. For example, our image shows the date as 28th November. The sophisticated Sky-Dweller also has a clever, almost hidden feature. Named the ‘Ring Command’ the discrete bi-directional fluted bezel is the control centre of the date, 12 and 24-hour displays, allowing the crown to only have one setting. The Sky-Dweller is a fashionable, intelligent timepiece, suitable for everyday wear and well equipped for the experienced traveller. Complete with iconic Rolex box and original papers.
