Product Description

The rare & collectable item of Olympic memorabilia is an autograph album from the 1968 Olympics with Approx. 123 signatures of Olympic competitors & coaches. These include; the British gold medalists David Hemery Chris Finnegan Derek Allhusen silver & bronze medalists Sheila Sherwood John Sherwood Marion Coakes & Martyn Woodroffe. There are of course many more notable names from the games with the Athletes adding their event under their name & in some cases their nation. These autographs were collected by the British sprinter Ralph Banthorpe on behalf of the current vendor who as a schoolboy lived next door to the athlete in Fordhouses Staffordshire. Banthorpe competed in the 200m & the 4x 100m relay at the 1968 Olympic Games. This item is being sold on behalf of a private collector.
